Ourobouros Podcast
UK based indie/unsigned music. Good Music Is Infinite.

Good Music Is Infinite

An Ourobouros is an ancient Greek symbol of a snake biting its own tail that symbolises infinity. The idea is that there is infinite good music out there that people should hear and I intend to play some of that music.

Another delayed release this week. The internetz have been fine, but it's been one of those days when I just haven't been able to get on the computer at all.

Unconciously with Cycling races in Belgium, a track by an American band with a French title and a track by a French band I gave my French accent a real work out this week.

Remember to listen to AMPed this Monday for my latest hosting appearance on that show and The Totally Rad Show on Tuesday to see if the intro I recorded with Charlie the wobbly puppy was used.

I might even record some pieces for Made in the UK this weekend as well. If I do that will be 10 podcasts or pieces of podcasts recorded this week.

I really love the atmospheric video for the Here Come The Birds track. Very well shot and very artistic. I'm really hoping they let me play it on WMVP in the future.

Rieser - The Ringmaster [Live Performance]
Here Come The Birds - Sharp White Teeth
VTG - I Lie Pretty

On Weekly Music Video Podcast this Wednesday you have three videos for the price of one. A trilogy of videos by the same band that tell a single story. Crazy stuff.

I REALLY hope there are no interruptions to the schedule next weekend. Hopefully I'll see you then.

That was a long weekend without internet access.

Now I have access I can give a full rundown of where the bands are from. I'm not sure if this is important to anyone else, but I always like to give origins.

Lal Meri - Los Angeles, California (got that one wrong on the show)
Loudest Boom Bah Yea - Austin, Texas
Universal Poplab - Gothenburg, Sweden
Swedish For Beginners - Kalmar, Sweden
Captain And The Kings - Glasgow, Scotland (wrong again)
We Were Promised Jetpacks - Glasgow, Scotland
Zwish - Canberra, Australia
2-L8 - Greece ( I think Salonika, but I can't confirm)#

In my e-mail after a weekend away (510 spam messages!) I was informed that the piece I recorded for It's A Frog's Life ages ago was played on the last episode. If you are at all interested in acoustic music then it's a fantastic podcast to subscribe to.

This week is one of the finest selections of videos for many weeks, and not only because you get three for the price of one with Zwish.

Lal Meri - Dreams Of 18
Universal Poplab - Fame & Hate
Swedish For Beginners - Magical Machines
We Were Promised Jetpacks - Ships With Holes Will Sink [Live, Acoustic Performance]
Zwish - I Am the Emotional Devil (Part 3 of the trilogy, Part 1 of the trilogy It Ends Tonight, Part 2 I Do)
2-L8 - Excuse Me, But I Just Have To Explode (Parts I & II) [Live Performance]

WMVP this week will have a odd little animated video of a podsafe favourite track. Available on Wednesday.

Hopefully the internet will hold out for the week and I'll be back to my usual Saturday release next week. See you then.

A lot of great music this week and a lot of weird chat from the PodCrawl. Thanks to Rowley (Dark Compass), The Grumbler (Music & Mumblings), Pete (PC Podcast) and Gabor (Electrical Language) for contributing to the promos and also to Rowley for recording it all.

Perhaps one of the audio recordings needs a little explanation. Soho in London is one of the centres of the gay community in Britain. That's why we were bemoaning the fact that the 'gorgeous totty' probably wasn't playing for our team.

Not a great selection of videos this week, but the RedTrack one is a nice variation on 'When The Sun Goes Down' by The Arctic Monkeys.

We Should Be Dead - Forget Romance, Let's Dance
Atomic Tom - Red Light Warning Sign [Live Performance, Poor Quality]
RedTrack - Pole Dancer

On WMVP this week there will be a very funny animated video with an added beer break.

See you next week.

For those interested and in time, it seems that the PodCrawl will possibly be streaming video HERE. It looks like we'll be streaming sometime between 12pm and 4pm BST. If anyone is in the London area we'll be starting out at the Montague Pyke pub on Charing Cross Road.

Soon after I recorded the show I learnt that the Bears have also signed Orlando Pace. He's a sure-fire hall of fame Left Tackle and if he stays healthy that's another big boost to the Bears chances. That's a big if though. He hasn't played a full season for about three years.

As I said on the show the Stars And Sons video is fantastic. A bizarre, interesting journey into a fractured psyche with a little bit of the 'sea' theme that is so obvious from the track title.

Stars And Sons - In The Ocean
The Yolks - Faster [Live Performance]
The Phenomenal Handclap Band - You'll Disappear [Live Performance]
Argon 40 - 44.66 Days

On WMVP this Wednesday there will be a very funny, very bizarre performance video. You really don't want to miss it.

Now off to count the minutes until PodCrawl time!
